Just across the road from Ford House is the local Co-op supermarket and Creagorry is just a few minutes down the road from Liniclate where there is a hotel, community school, library & sports centre, and of course the site for the Eilean Dorcha music festival in summer!

Five miles from the house is the main village of Balivanich where there are two small supermarkets (one with post office), airport, community riding stable, the Stepping Stone restaurant, Bank of Scotland, and Benbecula Golf course.

Centrally Located

We are also ideally and centrally situated for exploring the neighbouring islands of North & South Uist and allowing for day trips to further islands such as Barra, Lewis and Harris.

Ford House is near the main road that can take you anywhere between Eriskay and Berneray, with local service busses stopping just outside the house.
